Here at work again after a nice but all too short break for Christmas vacation. I worked from Mom's house on Monday and then had off yesterday. Now I just have to get through today, tomorrow, and Monday before having another break for New Year's on Tuesday. It's practically a ghost town here again today, and I bet it'll be that way until after the holidays are over.
Christmas was a lot of fun. The boys and I were at Dad's for Christmas Eve/Christmas morning, so we had dinner (lasagne), opened one present each, watched "Live Free or Die Hard," (this one rivals watching that Matthew McConaughey/dragons movie from a few years ago) and were in bed by 11:00 p.m. At that point I was so tired I could barely keep my eyes open.
After opening gifts and having breakfast at Dad's on Christmas morning, we got to Mom's at around 11:30, opened our gifts from her and Dave, and then packed up the cars to head to New Jersey. I stopped at my apartment to drop off the kittens and was at my aunt's house a little before 5:00 p.m. My cousins were all playing the hit gift - Guitar Hero for PS3. What a fun game! I tried to play "Slow Ride" by Foghat, but couldn't get the two-handed coordination down and was booed off the stage, haha.
Dinner was massive; my aunt cooked way too much food, as always. But I managed to get a little bit of everything on my plate. :) Afterwards we played some more Guitar Hero, opened our Secret Santa gifts, and then played Cranium. That was interesting to say the least; my family is nuts.
Yesterday we hung around to play more Guitar Hero, eat more food, and then left in the afternoon when it started to pour down rain. And of course the rain was at its heaviest when I got to my place and had to unload everything from my car.
All right, back to "work." Hopefully this day will go by quickly.
