Well, almost. Still have the weekend to relax.
Got back from my week-long vacation in Sandusky, Ohio this afternoon at around 4:00. I had a great time, but boy is it great to be back in a real house with a comfortable couch, soft mattress and a water heater that doesn't run out of hot water after 10 minutes.
Cedar Point is an awesome, awesome, awesome amusement park. I rode every single one of the roller coasters, except for Top Thrill Dragster (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Thrill_Dragster). I took one look at that thing's 420 foot straight-up-straight-down climb and drop, heard the jet-engine sound of it launching, and said, "NUH-UH." It and the Power Tower were the only rides I flat-out refused to get on. But everything else was great. My favorite two coasters were Millennium Force (while not as tall as Dragster, its 310-foot first drop is nothing to sneeze at) and Maverick, which just opened this year.
I was disappointed that there were no sightings of Peanuts characters during our two-day venture in the park. I wanted a picture with Snoopy. :(
Anyway, now I'm catching up with my favorite Web sites, and doing laundry. Dad's camping in Cincinnati this weekend (he completely forgot it was Father's Day weekend), so I'm planning on heading back to WC sometime tomorrow afternoon. After not being able to have a single minute alone this entire week, I'm looking forward to some "me time" in the apartment. Plus, I have to start kitty-proofing my place in preparation for Chloe and Oliver's arrival next Friday. Yay kitties!
