Cheap cheap.

Yesterday I found an invitation to complete a survey for Art.com in my Gmail inbox (I had ordered a print online a week or two ago).  Normally I'd just delete such a request, but since I have a new apartment and am trying to find artwork to hang on a lot of bare walls, I decided to participate.  Usually companies give a discount coupon at the end of the survey to thank the participant for his/her input.

So I went through the questions, giving a lot of high marks.  I really didn't have any problems with my order, and it arrived in good shape.  But at the end of the survey... no discount offer!  I mean, it's not like the survey took me half an hour to complete, but I may order from the site again and I'll take any discount I can get.

I went back to the original e-mail and replied, "What?  No discount incentive for completing the survey?"  I didn't think I'd get a reply but lo and behold this afternoon there was a message from "Moris," a customer service representative with a coupon code for 10% off of my next Art.com order.

Hooray for being cheap!

I feel:  surprised
