Chloe did very well. She froze when her paws hit the bath water, and then started walking around the perimeter of the tub looking for an escape. But she didn't make a sound, didn't make a fuss. She was unhappy, but she did better than I thought she would.
Oliver was a different story. I thought he'd be my good boy because he likes to play in the water dish, and doesn't bat an eye when I use him to mop up spilled water. But the second I put him in the tub he started twisting and turning and scrambling for a way out. I grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and he settled down enough for me to shampoo him, but during the rinse he absolutely flipped out. I could barely keep hold of him, and then he bit down on my forearm hard. I still held him, and managed to get him somewhat under control again, enough to rinse the rest of the shampoo off of him.
Now the kittens are tearing around the apartment chasing each other. I wonder if they think if they move fast enough, the air will dry them, haha. They're also making really cute trilling noises as they run around. Chloe does a donkey kick every now and then, trying to get the water off of her back legs. Then they hop around like bunnies for a while before settling down for another lick session.
WTF cats?
