I was in a semi-foul mood this morning before I even got to work (thanks to thinking about work), but now I have my Kenny Chesney Favorites CD on rotation and halfway through "Flip Flop Summer," I was feeling a little better.
I'm feeling better health-wise as well, from Friday. After signing off from work at 1:00, I ran to Giant for more cold supplies, came back home and fell into a medicine-induced slumber. I woke briefly at around 7:00 (see previous entry), but then fell back asleep until roughly 2:30 a.m.
Saturday morning was a little iffy, but by mid-afternoon I felt well enough to make it out to my cousin's college graduation party. A lot of people were there, many of whom I didn't know, but it was still a lot of fun.
Sunday I didn't do much beyond cleaning, reading, and baking shortcakes that looked less like shortcakes and more like not-quite-pancakes. Apparently I can't guesstimate what 1/3 cup of milk looks like.
And now here I'm back at work for a short albeit surely stressful week. lldangerous's wedding is on Friday, though, so that's something to really look forward to. I just need to find shoes, and maybe get a haircut/manicure/pedicure and then I'll be good to go. It's hard to believe the big day is almost here... for so long it's just been a far-off date mentioned in conversation. Where did the time go?
