The warm temperatures here yesterday have done more harm than good, I think. People must have thought "OMGSUMMER" and cranked the A/C up in the office to near-Arctic temperatures. I half-expect to see a small penguin waddle down the center aisle here...
At any rate, to make this post not completely pointless, I'm still keeping my options open on the apartment front. I turned in my application for the place where I really want to stay, and he said barring any unusual events, I'll have a second- or third-floor apartment to move into in May, a week before my current lease ends. But, just in case this doesn't pan out, I'm hoping to make some appointments to visit other complexes on Friday after work and/or Saturday before heading to Lib and Em's. There are two, possibly three, other properties that I'm seriously considering. I only hope that they won't be as big of a letdown as the first place I visited. Maybe it's just me, but if I'm going to be spending about $1,000/month on rent and utilities, I want an apartment that's in decent shape and doesn't have a kitchen the size of my closet (size is just a little more important in my book than having granite countertops).
Also, I'm getting geared up for the Barack Obama party on Saturday. Obama's Web site will be streaming his campaign announcement/discussion from Iowa in the afternoon in an opportunity to gather support. It's looking to be a blast. :) And there will be Hawaiian food! I'm making Macadamia Nut Hummus with Crispy Pitas. Mmmmm.
iTunes: nothing because I forgot my headphones :(
