I'm going to be without my car for the week while it's at the body shop getting all of her boo-boos fixed. I took it in this morning so the insurance guy could take a look at the damages, and he said the hatch and back bumper need to be replaced. I didn't expect that much work, but as long as she comes out looking like she did before the accident and I don't have to fork over any cash, I'm all for whatever needs to be done.
Still sucks that I'm going to be car-less for the week, though (unless I decide to get a rental). =/ Thank Jeebus for friends like lldangerous, who said she could play carpool host. *muah* :)
On a completely-unrelated note, I'm getting so excited for the upcoming trip to Prague; I can't believe it's in a little over two weeks! I've been using the downtime at work to research cool and interesting places to check out and have found a bunch. One that I definitely want to see is the Strahov Monastery, which overlooks Mala Strana and is near Prague Castle; monks have been brewing their own beer there since the 17th century. And you can't get much better than 35 crowns/$1.75 for a glass.
Also in the Strahov Monastery is the Cabinet of Curiosities, which sounds like it should be a part of the Harry Potter series. The Prague Wanderer wrote, "For a small fee, one can explore the curiosities which reside amidst the historic books, including the corpse of a dodo bird (which looks oddly, and mouthwateringly, like a hunk of teriyaki turkey jerky), collections of bugs and shells, narwhal tusks, dried sharks, and, for some strange reason, a pair of whale penises. According to some tour books, the old ladies who work in the library will coyly tell you that the latter are actually dried elephant trunks if asked!" Haha. :)
