So I skipped work today and instead blew $60 on a hair cut and color treatment. The cut is nice... it's shorter because my hair was getting to that severely damaged point at the ends, and the stylist angled the front to frame my face a little. The color, however, is a different story. The bottom half of my hair was still a light, almost golden brown from my last entire-head dye job, but the top was quite noticeably darker... so much so that there was a visible line circling my head. I told the stylist that I wanted to match the lighter color... okay, no problem.
After all was said and done, my hair is NOT the light golden brown that I had requested. It's RED. Which I wouldn't have a problem with (I had previously batted around the idea of trying a deep chestnut color) if my entire head was this color... the line is still there! The top is really red and the bottom a little darker.
Alli just walked in and said it looks really nice... so maybe I'm just being paranoid. Or maybe she's just being nice.
*scrunches nose* I'm thinking I probably shouldn't have skipped work today.
