Took Bert back to Michelle and Jim's house in the morning. "Decorated" the house with Michelle's mom in the afternoon - left little notes alllll over the place. Example: on the clock we put "Time to kiss!"; on the oven we put "Michelle and Jim: One Hot Couple!" and so on and so forth. We also hung streamers from the ceiling, tore off the labels on every canned good (though to be nice we wrote what was inside the cans on the bottoms). Tons and tons of fun. :)
Sunday:
Cleaned half of the apartment and then decided I needed a rest. Called up Dangerous and the two of us visited the Quad kids as they put the next issue together. I only recognized about five people, though. So strange to walk into The Quad office and not know anyone. Anyhoo, Dangerous and I stuck around for a bit and then headed downtown to the annual West Chester Chili Cook-off. Only $10 to sample over 50 kinds of chili from local restaurants and organizations. We were served chili in these little bitty cups, but did those things ever add up... I seriously didn't eat the rest of the day. So, after gorging myself I came back here to the apartment and to finish cleaning and watch the Eagles vs. Cowboys game. By the fourth quarter I was really into the game, but somehow Alli talked me into accompanying her to an 8:00 showing of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. Only saw about 1/4 of the thing though because I was scrunched down so low in my seat... ugh I hate those stupid gory slasher movies. Exited the theatre completely disturbed and, once back home, attempted to put the sound of screaming chainsaws out of my mind by watching the end of the football game (I set the VCR to record it before we left). And a-whoo-hoo, what an awesome ending! 102-yard touchdown by Sheppard in the last 30 seconds of the game... hey, T.O., how d'ya like them apples? Asshat.
Today:
No work! Hooray for Columbus Day! I did some shopping in Exton for the better part of the day... scored some new wiper blades for Rachel (the Advance Auto Parts dude who put them on said my car was "purdy," hehe), a few new casual tops that I can wear to work, and some artificial fall foliage to decorate the apartment. Even though it was close to 80F today, I've been in a very fall/autumn-y mood lately... I just love this time of year. :) And now I'm just chilling out on the couch watching Ferris Bueller's Day Off until Bryant and his girlfriend get here at 7:00 and Alli is back from class. Wee!
