Ugh, talk about a snooze-fest. The symposium took place in the Hall of the House at the Capitol building, so I spent more time looking around at the gorgeous architecture than I did listening to each of the panelists' 8-minute speeches. Afterwards, of course, I had to put on the fake smile and laugh and say I enjoyed every minute of the hour-long symposium. I hate schmoozing. During the post-event reception I couldn't wait to get out and back here to the hotel.
Tomorrow is the Exec. Committee meeting, and then I'm catching the 3:00 train back to Philly. I had originally planned to take Wednesday through Friday off this week while I'm puppysitting Bert for Michelle and Jim, but I'm going to have to go into the office for at least half a day on Wednesday to work on a few things. Color me thrilled.
